On March 20, 2026, 16 participants met at the ZDI Ideenlabor to not just understand AI agents, but to get them running themselves — out of 21 booked spots.
We worked in two tracks: in the Hackers Track, participants installed the self-hosted OpenClaw stack (OpenClaw, Paperclip, Nanobot) on their own machines. In the Easy Track, the focus was the low-friction path via YourClaw.ai — hosted agents with no infrastructure of your own.
The format confirmed what we suspected: the fastest way to grasp AI agents is to set them up yourself. Those who wanted to keep going joined the Agentic AI Roundtable a few weeks later.
